Before I head out to catch some rays or hit the pool - I know I know I'm working on my tan! - I like to make sure I'm feeling my best in my skin. That's where my summer smooth legs tools come in! These are my favorite inexpensive products (all under $6) to get those silky smooth stems.

Scroll down for my go-to's that are simple and yet effective!

I noticed a big difference once I started using a shaving cream while shaving. The Moisturizing Cream Shave from Trader Joe's is an absolute dream! I wish it was available online so I could link it for you, but alas it is not. So don't forget to check the skincare section the next time you're grabbing your fav produce from TJ's. It smells like a tropical vacation and makes my legs feel beach ready too.

Don't forget to moisturize! The best time to moisturize is right after you shower. It seems to really lock in the moisture. I love to use this gradual self tanner a few times a week to keep the glow up. Then on all the other days I use cocoa butter. It's less than $3 and has a pump. I LOVE a lotion with a pump! It's so convenient.

Now the pièce de résistance, in my opinion at least, my DRY BRUSH . I got this a few years ago before my last cruise ship contract and I've just recently rediscovered it and all it's glory. Dry brushing helps to promote circulation and lymphatic drainage so you may notice a difference in your cellulite + the overall "plumpness" of your skin. Sign me up! It's also a a great exfoliator, so it's a perfect tool to use before you shower and self tan.

I notice a BIG difference when I dry brush regularly. I usually use it before I shower on dry skin OR if i forget, squeeze in a few minutes of dry brushing before bed! It's so simple and yet so impactful.

Shop this post!

That's it! Super simple. Not too many steps but it works! Let me know if you start dry brushing. It's my fav!

Now go out and rock the skin you're in! It's beautiful. You're beautiful!

Since I love styling, I thought it would be fun to do a little style series on my blog where I show you how I'm wearing certain pieces to help inspire you while shopping. I have noticed that styling is one of the biggest things that trips people up when it comes to clothes. They are interested in a piece but think they could never "pull it off" Well, I wholeheartedly disagree! I think "yes ma'am you CAN pull it off!" If it sparks something in you, then rock it. It's about seeing the bigger picture and getting creative with how you would wear it. Sometimes I absolutely hate a dress... until I put a hat on and THEN I see the look come to life! How you style a piece can truly transform it's look.

To start off this style series, I'm going out of the box for y'all and heading to Costco! Not most people's first choice when they are looking to buy clothes, but they have come THROUGH recently! Since I know many people are skeptical of buying anything for their wardrobe from a bulk wholesale store, I wanted to share how I'm styling the pieces I recently purchased from the big chain myself.

Costco doesn't have all of their clothing on their website, so check out your local store to see what you can find! I've linked what I could find below each picture.

Let me know which look is your favorite in the comments.

*And don't forget to wear a mask if you go out shopping!*

Tie front top

I've been looking for something similar to this top for FOREVER! It is so versatile, incredibly soft, and breathable. Perfect for these hot summer months and to take into fall. It comes in 2 more colors as well! I paired it with my favorite high waisted distressed jean shorts and a midi skirt for a casual and then slightly more chic look.

The second look gives me Belle vibes for some reason. I just want to curl up in a library with a fancy cup of coffee and a good book.

Linen Blend Striped Pull-on Pants

If you follow me on instagram, then you've already seen these quite a few times on my stories. To be honest, I have not wanted to take them off since I got them! They are SO comfortable! Really stretchy & soft and also come in white. Perfect for an outdoor summer brunch OR a day by the pool

- I'm thinking these would be a great addition to your 4th of July look -

Light Pink "Jean" Jacket

Now this is one piece I wasn't able to find on Costco's website, but was only $10 in store! SO cute, very soft, and chic for summer! It was labeled as a jean jacket, but has a very buttery soft feel to it. I'm obsessed with the light, almost rose', color.

I paired it with a short & flirty dress for a party look, and then dressed it down with jean shorts + a white tee. I love the versatility of this piece and am even thinking of distressing mine for a more modern look.

Calvin Klein Roll Cuff Denim Short

Now, I wasn't super crazy about these in store, but my mom convinced me to get them and I actually was very pleased with how they looked once styled. Again, super soft & stretchy but a bit long for my short frame. I did like how high waisted they were but the waist was a bit big. I added a gold belt which I think added to the look perfectly anyway!

I paired them with a tube top (this look was totally inspired by Jules from OmandtheCity) and then a white tee + hat. They are definitely more of a "mom short" look which is very on trend and very comfy!

White Burnout Hoodie

I love this thin hoodie for summer! I wasn't able to find it on Costco's website, but check your stores. There were 2 additional colors available at mine.

It's super soft + comfy and provides just enough weight to keep you warm during the breezy summer nights. I paired it with a white bralette, my favorite high waisted jean shorts, and Adidas for a perfect "running errands" look! Would be a great piece to pair with a workout set as well.

Jessica Simpson Midi T-Shirt Dress

If you follow me on instagram, you've definitely seen this one too! It has already become a staple in my WFH wardrobe and I know I will basically be living in it for the rest of the summer. It's the perfect transition piece from running errands, to out for drinks (at home on our patio right now!) It's super soft and OH SO COMFY! I love wearing clothing that barely touches me in the summer, and this does just that.

I paired it with a baseball cap + jean jacket + cozy sandals for a casual everyday look. Then dressed it up with gold necklaces, statement earrings, and a block heel for a more elevated

look.

I LOVE THIS DRESS!

p.s. these necklaces/earrings were my mom's and grandma's! Linked some similar pieces.

DKNY 1/2 Zip Pullover

Somehow, in the middle of taking these pictures my mirror got filthy?!? I wipe it down literally everyday! No clue. So please excuse the smudges.

Anyway.... this little beauty may have been the find of the year, because it was only $4.97! Not sure if it was just our store, but I would check yours! SUPER cute 80's vibes. Very light material and BIG front pocket. (Kinda like a kangaroo!) Also comes in pink!

Perfect to pair with leggings or bikers for your morning workouts!

Ok.... that was super fun! Let me know your favorite look and what you want to see me style next!

There's nothing that says summer more than watermelon! And there's nothing that feels better on a hot summer's day than a nice, cold, glass of water. So combining both seemed to me to be the absolute most perfect summer concoction!

I wanted to create a festive drink for the 4th of July, so I took it a step further and added fun shapes + additional fruit for that quintessential red, white, and blue look.

Supplies:

  • Star shaped cookie cutter - Amazon has so many to choose from!

  • Knife - one that is large enough to cut through a watermelon!

  • Large pitcher - Mine is from Target!

Ingredients:

  • Watermelon

  • Blueberries

  • Water

Directions:

Slice your watermelon so that you have large circular pieces - about 1/2 - 1 inch thick. Use your star cookie cutter to cut star shapes from the meat of the melon (as shown above). Add watermelon stars + blueberries to your pitcher, fill with water, and let infuse for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Throughout the day the fruit will infuse more and more flavor, so it just keeps getting better and better! Keep in the fridge until ready to serve.

Now sit back, relax, and hydrate in style! I can't wait to see your stars & stripes conceptions :)

Love,

Liz
