“Books! And cleverness! There are more important things — friendship and bravery"

“Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself.”
“Honestly, am I the only person who’s ever bothered to read Hogwarts, A History?”

Miss Hermione Granger. Brightest witch of her age, fierce friend, and true female icon. This character lit a fire within me to embrace my smarts. When I was younger, it was something that people doubted. Just because I was "a blonde", "a girl", etc... I obviously couldn't be smart. But the reality was, that I always loved school. I loved taking notes, I loved reading, I loved a challenge and getting good grades! A character like Hermione inspired me to embrace that no matter what other people thought! This GIRL used her smarts to save the world and all the ones she loved in it. She is, without a doubt, a warrior. So this week's #warriorwednesday goes out to her and ALL my smart ladies out there! Embrace it. You are powerful. You can change the world.

Luna Lovegood. Effervescent, unequivocally kind, and unapologetically herself. It's so incredibly inspiring.

But truly, this is something I have pondered on quite a bit lately. We are conditioned to believe that we need to be one certain thing to be successful. To be loved. After a while, that starts to strip away our uniqueness and we loose who we truly are at our core. I believe that we are here to all bring something unique to this earth. Our uniqueness is our power.

So get your weird on. Be your cooky-est, silliest, loudest self and don't let anything stop you! Because, I can tell you from experience, when someone shines it gives us all permission to do the same. It's a beautiful thing. So thank you Luna, for inspiring us to bravely be ourselves!

Now I am WAY late on this, but I just finished the Agent Carter series and it was phenomenal! Inspiring. Fantastic costumes I was on the edge of my seat! I am so sad that there was not more. I was so inspired to make Agent Carter my next #warriorwednesday look.

Peggy Carter is a women who knows her worth. She does not take no for an answer and does what she knows needs to be done. She reminded me that no one else's opinion of you matters beyond your own. The way that she fiercely stands up for herself again and again and again is so inspiring. She's a powerhouse and one of my idols. Plus her wardrobe is killer!

This look was inspired by one of her MANY fabulous costumes on Agent Carter (check my insta to see the original and let me know how you think I did). I love the odd color combo, that somehow... works. Scroll for more!
